
Liana Parrish is first-year student in the M.A Psychology program at San Diego State University. As a recent graduate of San Diego State University, Liana received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology while minoring in Interdisciplinary Studies for the Weber Honors College. During her time in undergrad, she was a MARC (Maximizing Access to Research Careers) Scholar, a program dedicate to supporting students who intend on attaining doctoral degrees. Liana is interested in understanding how adversity and trauma in childhood can lead to the development of psychosocial issues and other negative outcomes, particularly within minority populations. Additionally, through intervention based research Liana aims to help develop and implement interventions that can be disseminated to schools and communities. After completion of her Master degree she plans to pursue a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology.
In her free time, Liana enjoys hiking, trying new restaurants, being in nature, attending worship events and going to the gym.
